In an unprecedented event, the passing of the Midnight Hour around the world was marked by televised pictures, as 1999 moved into the year 2000. This is the sunrise as it was the morning after, from Hallandale Beach, Florida. The time was just after 7 A.M.
As the sun approaches the horizon, its arrival is marked upon the clouds.
