But, it seems like the only time I ever get any where is when I am playing tour guide. This was one of those trips. A convenient and fun place to meet up with Cyndi's friend Laura. Laura worked on the cruise ship as a black-jack dealer and came into port on Sunday for a few hours. We picked her up and headed for a trip back into time and nature.

The scenes of the Everglades had me lost in the swamps. The "stuffed" birds are placed in recreations of the primeval Everglades.

It is a place of learning that you owe yourself and your children.

The kids really seemed to enjoy the game room in the back of the museum. There were all sorts of interactive exhibits where learning and playing become one.

I believe this guy is real. Sometimes it was awful hard to tell.

This was definitely not alive. But the amazing detail that come across in this replica, is carried throughout the museum. I especially found intriguing the complicated displays of the mouths of snakes. I took pictures, but they are not pretty.
