How to Copy and Paste from the Internet by S. Dancer
HINT: You can copy information off any Web Page by doing the following:
Assume you want to copy the following URL from this page, into your URL window.
http://www.miami-dade-online.com/yes.htm
- By using the mouse, put your pointer at the beginning of the h.
- Push down the left mouse button and pull the pointer to the end of the line.
- The URL (or other information) is now highlighted.
In Windows 98, using AOL and Netscape: (whatever you are using, try following these directions)
- Keep your curser arrow on the highlighted URL and push down the right mouse button. A
window comes up allowing you to copy. Push copy.
- Go to where you want to "paste" the information. In this case, go to your URL window.
Make sure your curser is exactly in the place you want to put the information.
- Push the right mouse button and another window comes up allowing you to paste. Push
paste.
- The URL should now be in the window and you can push GO. Go ahead, push Go.
If you have not been able to copy using the mouse key, follow these directions after
highlighting the URL:
- Using your keyboard, push the "Control" key and the "C" key at the same time.
- Go to where you want to "paste" the information. In this case, go to your URL window.
Make sure your curser is exactly in the place you want to put the information.
- Using your keyboard, push the "Control" key and the "V" key at the same time. You now
have copied and pasted.
- The URL should now be in the window and you can push GO. Go ahead, push Go.
IF YOU ARE STILL HERE, WELL NEVER MIND.
